Loveyapa Movie Review Bollywood’s latest release, Loveyapa, came with minimal expectations but turned out to be a mixed bag. Many expected Junaid Khan to shine, especially after his strong performance in Maharaja, but he struggled to leave an impact here. On the other hand, Khushi delivered a relatively better performance, though she still has room for improvement. Some viewers even felt that she is a better actress than her sister, Janhvi Kapoor. Grusha Kapoor, who played the mother, was one of the highlights of the movie. Her portrayal was heartfelt and natural, adding much-needed emotional depth. Kiku Sharda, often relegated to comic relief roles, was finally given a solid character, and he did justice to it. However, Ashutosh Rana, a seasoned actor, deserved a much better role than what he got. Henry Cavill’s presence in the film was intriguing, but his performance was just okay. Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor particularly struggled in emotional scenes, making some key moments fall flat. Story & Pacing Issues The film started off as a decent watch, with the first half setting up the narrative in an engaging manner. However, after the interval, the film lost its momentum and became dull. The screenplay failed to hold attention, and scenes started dragging, making the latter half quite boring. Will It Work? Despite having some strong performances, the weak second half might hurt the film’s overall reception. Even on OTT, it seems unlikely that Loveyapa will find a large audience, as it lacks the gripping storytelling needed to keep viewers engaged. Final Verdict While Loveyapa had potential, it ended up being an average film at best. Some performances stood out, but the lackluster second half and uninspiring emotional depth made it forgettable.
